PHEW!!!!

So the past two days Ive been taking care of a few things in preparation for my lolo Papa funeral. This past week the grandkids have been busy putting together a montage, picture board, and making tee shirts for the viewing and funeral ceremony. Ive also been busy cleaning our house because it seems that there will be a few family members from out of town staying for the event. Besides our guest rooms downstairs and upstairs I have to give up my room to visitors. So on friday ill be on the floor in the master bedroom retreat. Hasnt been the first I get kicked out of my room.

Food for thought with a lil morning news

If you have not noticed corporate America has been trying to grab hold of this health nut band wagon as it rolls through every media stream, publication and household. It has been said that the United States is the most unhealthy country in the world. What do you expect? Looking down most streets you'll find a handful of different fast food chains, 10 Starbucks, a few taco shops, and a 711 here and there. Ofcourse nutritionists, doctors, and the media were quick to blame these chains of stores for the cause of Americas unhealthy style of living. I say screw the man. Its not the food we should blame its the people eating it. Come on, ofcourse any individual will get terribly unhealthy by eating @ McDo daily in portions that are beyond insanity. America should be able to eat what they want and not have to be brain washed to stuff something they find so flavorful.

Speaking of flavorful food. If its delectable eats that you crave along with great ambiance but are unsure of where to find such a place, let Cha and Norey be the ones to guide you. These two ladies have started "tasters delight". As they travel to different cities through out the United States they make it a point to find the best places to eat and critique them. Check it out. It'll be satisfying.

Also for those that didnt catch the channel 6 morning news last fri. from 5-10am there was a celebration goin down for the merge of the CW goin to channel 6 and leaving 5. The celebration was held at the Wave House in Mission Beach. Heres two videos to recap the event. Oh yeah... MINDZ ALIKE doin big thangs.

ED - Phones?

I had to mention this find. My boy Neil V. linked me to these dope WeSC collaboration headphones with the French record company Ed Banger ran by Pedro Winter. These headphones are part of their artist series in their headphone line. These will be available Aug 20 and you know im gonna cop a pair...come on headphones with ED on them. Enough said.
I know by starting this blog im gonna become part of societies most annoying gang, the paparatsi. Dont get me wrong I love photography and capturing those moments but blogging will take me to another realm with no turning back.
Last night was the first night of prayer for my grandpa. The mood was a little somber of course but the gathering of family had shed some light on the mood. Yesterday was also the first time I met my cousin from Australia who flew just few in. His name is Jake and out of all the cousins hes the oldest at the age of 30. Yes, it took me 30 years to meet him and hes a 1st cousin. Thats pretty much how the day went besides Steven coming over to my pad earlier in the day to study and keep me company. Not to mention raid my fridge. Its all good. If anyone needs a place to kick it or eat you know my door is always wide open.

madness for Hanz & Harry...thus the reason for a blurry pic.

Cherish the time with those you love

So this is the start of sharing my life to you and the world. It may not be as exciting as others to some of you but it is my life and how I live it. First thing is first. I know it may not be a good way to start off a blog but I believe that what I have to share is very important.

From time to time we get caught up in the fast pace life of the "American dream" and tend to loose whats truly important to us. What we need to do is just stop for even just one second and reflect. Reflect what we have, reflect how truly blessed we are to be as fortunate compared to those around us. Through out our lives we meet many people. Most of these people we meet once and never see again, others we'll cross paths now and then but there are the few that we meet that we hold dear to our hearts. These people become the friends that we can trust, be there for, share a tear and share a laugh. But without warning it can all be gone. Same goes with family. We love our close friends as much as our family but thats when we start to loose them. Our busy life style tends to draw families apart from each other with conflicting schedules. It then becomes easy for us to forget even the little things like saying hello, or having dinner as a family. We must slow down. Love and cherish those around but most importantly cherish the time that you have with the ones you love.
